Our speaker will be Subu Venkataraman most recently the Chief Risk Officer at Soros Fund Management. Subu has over twenty years of proven experience in developing, executing and managing state-of-the-art risk management techniques at premier buy-side and sell-side financial institutions. He possesses a unique combination of practical risk management experience coupled with quantitative expertise in finance and regulatory experience. Prior to joining Soros, Subu was the Chief Risk Officer at Highbridge Capital Management from 2003 until 2013 and also served in senior risk roles at Morgan Stanley. Subu holds a PhD and MBA in Financial Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Chemical Engineering.
